Civic Si___EK prop valve question.
Did a search didnt really find out what i needed to know. I have a 97 Civic Lx with A GSR brake swap. I'm still running the stock MC, Booster and prop valve. I'm lookin to buy a prop valve, but I wanna know if there are any way I can tell that it is indeed the correct prop valve so i dont get ripped off. I dont want to pay for one and find out its the exact same thing as my stock one. I know that the base is the same, but are there any special inscriptions on the 99-00 SI propvalve? I Know the EK hatches have run the same prop valves as the 99-00 Si's. Also how can u tell if the prop valve is bad? Thanks

Is there a reason why you need to buy a mc, booster and prop valve...I'm running 95 gsr front on my ek hatch and the braking is great...is there something wrong wit yours...

no i didnt say i needed the MC and booster, i know that mine are ok, but see ur EK hatch already comes with the same prop valve as the 99-00 civic si, thats the info i got from this other thread. I have a sedan, and the part # of my prop valve is different than yours. I need the prop valve so that it better distributes the braking balance to the rear more, since my car originally came with drums. Ya i dont know why EK hatches come with drums and the prop valve better suited for 4 wheel discs. All I'm planning to change is the prop valve, thats all.

prop valves do not have any distinguishing marks on them. You need a DX or SI prop valve.
I'm not sure what size the mc/booster is on the lx, but be sure to check them. The ex/si have the larger boosters in the 96-00 line.
