Would the coil pack out of a D16Y8 distributor work in a D16Z6 distributor? I am looking to buy an OBD1 Z6 dizzy and a guy has one FS but missing the coil pack... I have a Y8 dizzy that works but won't bolt up to my Z6 head, but it's OBD2 (thought this mattered). So I figured if I could use it I would be set...

Help?

 

if you buy that dizzy from that guy i have to coils... i will trade you for your OBD2 one...

yes obd1 and obd2 coils and igniters will all work

all the internals are the same as long as there internal or there external..... internal for internal external for external. Ive done this plenty of times.

So the coil WILL for sure work in the Z6 dizzy from the Y8 dizzy?
