idle ??

my honda prelude 2001 .. h22a. is having idle problems. my rpm gauge jumps. from 1 to 2,000 rpms. .. can someone halp me

sounds like a vaccum leak. check to make sure all ur vaccum hoses are on. make sure everythign connected to the intake manifold is tight.

Fast idle valve is indeed beneath the throttle body for one thing but I doubt that's the problem. Second a vacuum leak isn't likely to make your idle bounce between 1000+2000 rpms. Vacuum leaks usually raise the idle period. I'd check voltage on the tps and check your idle air control valve!
