Default High Idle / Vacuum Leak

I have a JDM B16 in a EJ1 it has a nasty vacuum leak idles at about 2k RPM what is it. Ive had it looked at and noone seems to be able to fix it. Im going to be taking the Skunk2 intake manifold off this weekend. Throw me some ideas.

A vacuum leak isn't a high idle, its a bouncing idle. If it's a steady 2k then it's probably something else. Plus, you can often hear a vacuum leak sucking air in whereever its leaking.

spray some brake clean/parts clean over hoses/ intake manifold and if the idle picks up even higher, you've hit it

Idle screw most likely isn't going to adjust the idle by 1250 rpm's. They are meant for minor adustments, not that much though.

I would check the throttle cable and make sure that its not to tight. Also, I think the the FICV has a screen that sometime gets clogged and doesn't allow the FICV to turn off. If that the case you should be able the here the FICV sucking air through the TB even after the engine warms up.

probably throttle cable is too tight or your throttle body is really dirty inside and not letting the butterfly close completely. Both happened on my car before.

Usually a vacuum leak is a bouncing idle like said before. If you still think its a leak somewhere, use carb cleaner, spray around the gaskets, tps, map, anything that could possibly leak. If the car almost dies, you have found where your leak is.

I once had a leak under my map sensor, it took me forever to figure out cause I was like, it can't be that, then I used some carb cleaner on it and car died instantly. I added a gasket to the map and no problems now.
