So i have trying to rebuild my engine(y8) that has some rod knock. I have a donor engine(z6) that also has rod knock and i was hoping to use some pistons and cranks perhaps. When i took the oil pan, oil pick up and baffle off the lower part of the z6 i got really pissed off! You mean to tell me that this 1/2 inch wobble causes this much of a pain in my ***? When i pulled the rod cap off i found that i had a piece of the bearing about the size of a quarter and the rest was in the oil pan. Whey cant i just take the bearing off one of the good pistons on the z6 and put it on the bad piston on my y8? I just wanna find the easiest fix possible cuz my cars been sitting in the drive way for 3 weeks.
