clicking from of the speaker when adjusting the volume
ok, recently let a shop install my double din dvd/mp3/tv player and for some reason, one of the speaker is clicking everytime i adjust the volume.
anyone know whats up?
i checked my wiring and everything looks fine, and its not the speaker cuz i swithced them and it still clicks.
im guessing its the guys that installed my dvd player, they probably hooked up something wrong.
thanks

If everything is working properly, I don't think anything is hooked up wrong.
Is it only when you adjust the volume, or is it there when adjusting bass, treb., bal., fade? Also is the vol. **** only for volume?

And is the switch/**** that you use for adjusting volume, only used for volume, or is it also used for the bass, treb., balance and or fade. One more thing, are the "clicks" uniform, like click, click, click, click evenly spaced clicks and the spaces between the clicks are they uniform as you adjust the volume, that speeds up as you turn up the volume faster, [if you can adjust it faster] or are the "clicks" random, like click, click, space, click, space, click, click, click, space, space, space, does it sound like the clicks have on uniformity, that they come and go without any order?

its definitely not a feature of the head unit .. it could be the actual wires going from the bak of the radio to the actual speaker .. if not bring it bak to the shop and make em get rid of it ..

yes, when i press the volume and hold it, it still clicks. in unison. tick. 1sec. tick. 1 sec. tick. etc.
also, when i switch from tv to aux to dvd is also ticks. so it has to be the wires from the deck to the left rear speakers. probably connected to the amp output instead of the speaker output.

Although it seems like a goofy way to do it, [clicking out of only one speaker] it sounds like an increment tell-tail, and it is supposed to be there, [normaly you would hear that out of all the speakers]

Yea, that is info that will change what I think may be wrong, there is probably a grounding problem in the HU itself on that ch. or maybe a bad output IC/ transistor, again on that channel. you will need to remove the HU and have it looked at by a repair tech.
