Wait, you used a torch to try to get the pin out? You know metal expands when heated. What me and my buddy did for his shift linkage was. We used a punch and we made our own little piece so it fits perfect.

What it was was a flat 1/4in thick piece of metal with a little cylindrical piece sticking out (pin goes onto this). You use a jack and you pump it into place and then the little holder pushes it in slowly and then its in far enough to just use a punch and a jack.

Use a punch and a smaller jack. It's easier having a friend help. And yes it will be kind of freaky because the car will lift up because the pin is in there so good. Just becareful if under the car when jacking.

Damn that sounds cool, pics?

What i do for bitch pins is that i took the bolt that holds the shift linkage on it next to the bitch pin and put that on it and hammer the **** out of it. Take usually like 2 or 3 good hits and its out.

yeah that sucks man, I couldn't get mine out and I broke 3 drill bits trying to get it out. My last drill bit that was used got stuck in there and so I took a punch and a hammer to it and it ended up coming out because the drill bit was jammed so hard it made it come out. But I hope you have another pin cause putting a bolt in there makes the shifter really loose good luck tho
