Default Head Removal (d15b7)

I was reading in the Haynes manual that I am to remove the rocker arm assembly before removing the Head Bolts which then will lead to me being able to remove the head. I don't see why I would need to remove the rocker assembly since the bolts are right there and accesible (sp).

maybe you read it wrong you dont need to. just remove the head bolts and maybe a little prying and the head will come off.

Well it says remove the rocker arm assembly. That would be a waste of time to do that so I wasn't planning on it. Thanks for the clarification.

Yea no you dont have to remove that...Be sure to get under the car and look for the other coolant lines as well as the two bolts that hold the manifold to the braket thas on the block...I just took mine off yesterday and remember all this stuff..
