p28 chipped, or search for a p72 or p30 for my gsr motor?
Hey guys, I got a 94 hatch that I'm throwing my 94 gsr motor into in a few weeks, but when I wrecked my gsr my ecu got smashed, and I'm in need of a new ecu. I have a p28 out of my hatch, but I was just wondering what would be the best way to go. Should I chip my p28, or should I look for a p72 or a p30 for my motor? And if you say chip the ecu, do any of you have any suggestions of places that do good work. I saw the ad for Kenji211.com, and I was looking into that, any of you have experience with them? Anyway thanks for your help in advance.
Personally, i would just stick with the p72, since that is the right one for the motor. Then again, I don't really know anything about chipping.

go to http://www.phearable.net... its 175 including ecu.. and he will eather install crome or uberdata. and you can selecet stuff like launch crontroll then you can tune the ecu.. instead of just buying a chip.. because chips are made on a wide support for motors its better just to get an ecu that can be tuned for your motor
chip the p28, thats the most sought after honda ecu there is.... buying anything else would a waiste, unless u can sell the p28 and pick up a p72, etc and make a profit!!!! or if u just "have" to have a knock sensor
Get a P72. P72 is meant for the GSR motor. It has the control for the IAB's on the intake manifold that you won't get with a P28. You could always get a burner and chipset from moates for $107 shipped and add a GSR bin to the chip, but it took me about 2 hours to desolder and then solder all my stuff in.
P72 is what you should get, if you're going to cheap out then just chip the P28.

Yeah, but if he isn't going to do it himself he's going to end up paying out the *** to have all of it done for him. Probably be cheaper to buy a P72.
Chipping an ECU really isn't hard at all. Very cheap, very easy.

Yeah, I'm not exactly a soldering master if ya know what I mean, I've never done anything like that before, and yeah around these parts it would cost quite a bit just to get that kind of work done. Thanks for the advice guys, I appreciate it, but I'm just gonna look for a good price on a p72, oh and if any of you guys happen to have one just laying around, pm me with a price shipped to 80911.
Thanks
