Ok, Dont bag me on this. But i have a newb question. Say that you were shifting and goin fast but not flooring it. You meant to shift from 2nd to 3rd but you shift to neutral and it hit the rev limiter on rpm . Is this bad? Does it do any damage to the engine?

 

rev limiter is bad, but it's much better than misshifting to 10k and bending some rods. You'll be okay.

 

your fine the stock rev limiter will keep you safe as long as you don't misshift into a lower gear and drop the clutch. Thats when things get ugly. no worries

oh well, it will be fine so long as you dont do it too often, revlimiter like other people will keep you safe from stuff like that

 

drive the car for a while before you really get on it, I am not sure if the shifter bushing get broken in more or if i just learned the shift pattern alot better but it will get easier

u bend valves more often than rods. rod's usually snap or fly through ur block.
