i was being a dumbass and was driving recklessly in country road.. had the music up pretty loud and forgot to check to shift. i check my tach and i see the rev bouncing and quickly shift. i was on 2nd gear. anything could of happened or am i fine?

 

that depends on how long you were there...

how do you forget to shift though? don't you run out of power before fuel cut?

 

No, you're fine. That's why the rev limiter is there. You could have sat there bouncing off of it most of the day and you'll be fine.

Well....maybe not most of the day....but you know what I mean.

it will wear on the engine because every other second the engine is getting fuel...then not....then it is...then it's not. Not good for the engine.

Back to the original question...u should be fine, but if your really worried, do a compression test to be sure.

 

thats the whole point of a Rev limitter. You're fine.
