whats the horsepower on a d15b7 engine?
i just checked my del sol and it said d15b7, i thought i had a d16z6, but i guess not. and i was wondering if my engine is vtec, too. I don't even know why i am asking that, i know it is, but whatever. i guess i have the S version, for all this time, i was mistaken. I guess i am going to be buying the b16a3 soon then.
if you have the del sol s, it's 106 hp.
if you have the del sol si, it's 127 hp. VTEC solenoid will be located between the valve cover and the firewall about one inch from the head on the passenger side of the motor.

thanks, i can't believe i didn't know that i had this motor. good thing i didn't buy those headers from that guy, this sucks, i need a new motor.
Motor, ecu, & wires on harness to be exact. The other option is a cheap turbo kit. By the time you blow it with 10psi, you'll have the cash to bump up to a z6 or a b-series.
The other route would be a mini-me head swap. IIRC, you'd get a comp ratio of 9.6 with the z6 head on the b7 block, which would give the same hp as a d16z6 due to a bit more compression.

it's header btw, not headers. Either way, if the header was for a d series motor, you'd have been fine. They both fit.
