Del SOL help! vtec what motor?

Del SOL help! vtec what motor?
ok.. this isnt for me but for my friend. he went to look at a del sol today and it says VTEC on the valve cover. there is no other badging on the car. the guy told him its a DEL SOL SI VTEC.. now someone else told me tehre are 3 models of del sol... del sol, del sol si, and del sol si vtec... is there anyway to tell what it is from that info? its red if that helps any... also.. what are the differant engines a del sol can have? i kno some have a b16? HELP
