Default Grounding System

What do you guys think about this?

PITA to install? Any other competitive brands that might be better?

The only advantage of ground wires is really a better chance of your headlights not dimming slightly when you're idling. The stock ground wires do not go bad... the best thing to do would just be to sand down the ground spots to clean them off a little bit and reattach the wires.

Uhh, save your money for something else, get new brake pads or what-not if you just HAVE to spend your money.

This is like the whole Monster Cable thing..its all in your head!

go out and buy some 4 or 6 guage wire and just make it yourslf its allot cheaper and you wont be supporting theivery ive seen these kits for 100+ dollars it would probably cost 20 bucks to make

i had a set a while ago...very easy install, takes about 15mins. did i notice any power increase? no, but they sure as hell look soopa fly! j/k

everyone says "what a waste of money!" or "they cant do that" but i dont know if you've every picked up an issue of import tuner but they and alot of other mags that do installs and dyno it swear by those kits, almost everytime they install those there is an increase in whp and trq. not alot, but, nevertheless, an increase. it is said tuning is essential with those for max gain (i.e. changing the ground points) but when you figure you might gain 6whp for example some headers or intakes dont even give you that much gain, so to each his own i guess.
but for that price and proven power i think it is not too bad of a deal.. but yes i guess you would definitley feel more of your spent money with a set of brake pads..since not many people have access to a dyno to tune ground wires

i made a custom grounding kit in my car using 4 guage wire and matching connctors...i don't think it cost more than $30 total, and took maybe 2 hours to solder and install...i think i did like 8 points from the motor to the transmission to the firewall...the idea is to go in a chain, back and forth to the firewall...

the result is not really more power, but you will definitely notice a much smoother power band when accelerating...you will notice this at both partial and full throttle...it is definitely worth the money, and you can get the wire cheap at any hardware or electrical specialty store...
