I have an automatic 95 Honda Civic with D15B7 Engine... and A24A transmission....

My trans is stuck in 1st gear and would not shift... I have already checked the mounts and the shift cable and they are all attached.

I am told I need to rebuilt the transmisison or put in a used one.

Can I replace the transmission with a JDM M24A without any extra mods....?????

Has anyone tried this or know if it is true ?????
or what is required in the swap.

 

not sure what engine that m24a tranny came out of. Any 92-00 civic with auto trans will pretty much work

 

it is listed as :
DEL SOL 1993 - 1997 4 SP FWD L4 1.6L M24A,S24A 3 SHAFT


where as the original is listed as:
CIVIC 1992 - 1995 4 SP FWD L4 1.5/1.6L A24A/A2YA 3 SHAFT

 

yes it should fit as long as the del sol engine is a single over head cam

dont think it will work. Just looked it up and it came out of a dohc engine

I will look for an A24A or A2YA so there is no problems..
