Default 95 del sol to 95 civic shift linkage

allo! steeze here, another question again...yes, i did search for it... will the shift linkage out of a 95 manual del sol need any fabrication to fit into a 95 automatic civic dx? the whole swap is only a few days away so i want to get everything perfect before i do it... i had read some articals saying that you have to cut something to fit the linkage in.... is this true? thanx... steeze

I didn't even know that you can use a manual shift linkage onto an auto.

yea i am doing a whole d15 to del sol d16 vtec swap along with tranny... i thought it would work

So are you converting over to 5 spd tranny?

no, the del sol shift linkage will not fit into you civic without modifications. considering the prices you will have to pay to cut/weld the shift linkage, you can find a stock sohc civic shift linkage for cheaper. i modified my shift linkage twice...a 1" extension costed me $30 and since i was stupid and eye-balled the measurements, the second costed an awesome bargain at $25 i too did the auto-manual conversion on my sol...good luck with yours.
