usual suspects?
ok ..... here goes. we may have to add questions and things of the like later. my steering feels super sloppy. keep in mind the car is 10 years old. now its not bouncy, so im thinking it may not be shocks/struts just yet, but not ruling them out completely. what other suspension related parts should i look at and inspect in further detail? im more than willing to upgrade
but at the same time, i cant afford to replace/upgrade things that dont need it just yet.
help me out HT, always have in the past.

yes, not rediculous amounts, but more than should be

take a look at the Inner and Outer tie rod ends and the front lower balljoints (where the steering knuckle meets the LCA). I assume you don't have any issues with the axle clicking? No torn cv boots?

no clicking. are the tie-rod ends best replaced with OEM parts? (if thats what it is)

yeah, oem tie rod ends do the job well, I just got a set of outer tie rod ends for $80. They are easy to change. If the outer bushing looks really worn, you might consider replacing it to see if it helps. If the bushing is still nice and new looking, and when you squeeze it it feels soft and bounces back, it's still good. If it's cracking and grease is oozing out, it's time for a change.

ive not had a chance to get a GOOD look at them, but id imaging 10 year old bushing may have a good chance of being bad by now.
alright ... ill start there. any other suggestions?

This is an easy fix. Go with the Energy Suspension or Prothane suspension master kit. It sells for roughly $100-150 and it replaces your worn stock, rubber bushings with stiffer urethane bushings.
The master kit will replace all stock rubber bushings, and since yours are probably pretty worn out, you should look at it as a long term investment.
Quicker steering respose and crisp handling.

all my suspension stuff is straight. one tech said that its most likely my rack and pinion.
