Default my sohc 15G greddy kit question....

You might have to read it all to understand what i'm talking about..

I understand that the greddy kit comes stock at 5.5psi. Does that mean the wastegate is set at 5.5psi? If i turned up the boost with a manual BC to say, 7.5psi, does that mean my wastegate is now set at 7.5psi??

I question this because i hear talk about people saying their wastegate is set for example at 8psi, does that mean they just put a BC on a turned it up or are they acually doing something to the wastegate itself along with installing a BC and turning that up too????

I'm gonna be doing a swap soon so i'll be wanting to turn the boost up a little and i'm not sure if i have to do anything with the wastegate....?

I appreciate your help, thanks!

EASY NOT TECHINCAL ANSWER

The boost controller will limit the amount of pressure on the wastegate. On your internal wastegate the BC will bleed off pressure to make your wastegate think its at 5.5.

So you dont adjust your wastegate the BC will do it on its own.

no. But i heard of people running 18 pounds on the saab t3 which is smaller than the greddy 15g.n so i would suspec that turbo can handle that. but im not sure.

ive used a ebay MBC and it would not control the boost, it would over boost the engine no matter where i hooked up the vaccum source. now i just use the waste gate locknut to control boost.

i have an ebay special boost controller on my car and it holds boost strong, bery little creap and actually made it spool a little faster imo. i know tons of people that make or buy mbc's and i rarely hear bad things about them. dont diss them untill you have used one
