TurboSmart vs Tial wastegates
Does anyone have a preference over another?
I've never heard bad things about either, but the TurboSmart is shorter, and more compact, making it the better choice for me.
So, before I buy one: TurboSmart ot Tial?

Ive used both and both have awesome quality. I personaly use a Turbosmart 48mm on my car and love it. I saw fast-turbo.com has a special on the 38mm wg in the sponsor's market.

I like the turbosmart ones better because they come with a leaded gas valve which is a good thing if you ever run race gas. Plus they even come with different springs rates which is awsome because it will save you money in case you need to change combinations or need more boost
check it out our monthly special: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1300075
heres my personal 48mm turbosmart that I plan on using (and the one Arturbo currently uses)

wouldnt a different spring affect the rate at which the turbo spools up because spring pressure has changed? A 14lb spring may hit boost faster then a 8lb spring set at 14lbs. Just curious.
The turbo is not going to spool up faster with a larger spring compared to a lower spring that is compressed. They will both open at the same pressure.

im currently running a single 44mm which holds boost with zero problem.

Its really going to depend on manifold design. if the design wont allow the boost to hold, it wont.
