From my extensive reading of past posts...most guys prefer the tial wastegate as opposed to the deltagate. It seems that the deltagate tends to spike a lot.

IMO if you are not going to use an electronic boost controller go with the Tial because there are sometimes spike problems with deltagate. If you are going to have an EBC, it is just preference because they both will work fine. My friend had a Deltagate with an AVC-R and it never had problems unless he took it off and ran the spring then he spiked. I have the Tial and I never spiked with the spring now I have the AVC-R.

I'd go Tial personally, sleeker look and no spike problems that I'm aware of. And with the deal you can get from Viren it's well worth it!

TIAL, although it sounds shitty when it opens when vented to the atmosphere...

Flamesuits zipped... but c'mon guys, it sounds like a dunebuggy/lawnmower.

This confuses the **** outta me. I run the TIAL WG with a badass little dump tube that shoots down towards the ground. I can't hear a damn thing other than the motor and the low key stock exhaust. Is this noise everyone is referring to more audible from outside the vehicle??

Hey thanks for the quick responses guys...

Four questions:

1) It sounds shitty? I thought it was the blow off that makes the swishing noise? (and I was thinking of getting an HKS SS)

2) What is spiking?

3) I was thinking of replacing my MSD 6AL with the 6BTM. Is this what you refer to as electronic boost control?

4) Who's Viren?

Thanks again!

1. The turbo does make a swishing sound but also when you actually start to boost you can hear the wastegate open up and start dumping. Some people like the sound others dont. You'll moost likely smell it if you dont hear it.

2. Spiking is when your boost is at a certain level and it doesnt hold and jumps up. Often caused by deltagates. Spiking is a common cause for blown motors.

3. The 6btm just controls spark and retards timing with respect to boost. Its not an electronic boost controller. The avc-r and greddy profec b are electronic boost controllers.

4. Viren is b18bturbo.
