Default Help! CRX not starting after moving battery to the back

OK I just finished moving the battery to the back. Now the starter isn't working. The acc's have power but when I hit the start position nothing happens.

Any clue?

The starter isn't getting enough current to drive the motor. So either you ran too thin power wire (need 4 guage or thicker), or you have a bad ground. You can check the impedance between an engine ground and your battery ground. It should be pretty low.

How do you check impedance? I ran 4 guage to the engine bay then 2-8 guage to the starter and 1 to the fuse box.

Make sure you check the grounds. I forgot to sand down the ground spots after I painted my bay and the car wouldn't start. Sanded them down and boom no problem.

it may not be nessesary at this point to make measurements (with volt meter: Fluke). First try sanding down the ground location and make sure its on/rear the main frame rail and on a thick section of metal. Try to utilize a stock threaded bolt location to ensure good contact. Sand metal and apply a conductive gel like used on spark plugs if needed. This will increase conductivity and lower chances of corrosion at the contact.

well I got it started by putting the battery back up front. I'll just have to mess with it more tomorrow. I'll try those suggestions then. Thanks
