sad news....unfortunetly i blew up my ls on the way home the other day when i spun a rod bearing starting from cylinder 4 then 2 n finally 3 when all the rods ripped out my block which was a depressing day...but after finally thinkin over doin a motor swap it came down to either a B20 or B18C1...i chose the B18C1 and was wonderin about those who own one what would your opinion be on those motors on boost or n/a. i still have the turbo kit but not sure if to do it again so to all u b18c owners tell me what you think i should do wit this motor for my DB7....

When I blew my LS-turbo the same way you did.....I just rebuilt it, but I went all out. I used forged parts, new everything, and really brought the Integra to life.
Went from a measly 8-10psi to a daily driven 18psi. Since you have the turbo kit already, this would be my choice.

a b18c motor that's legit is going to cost you over a g...
I'd pick up a b18b1 block for like $100 max, throw forged internals in for less than $1000-1200 total most likely and there you go. I'm betting the motor blew due to poor tuning though, rather than boost...unless you were pushing a fairly large amount or did something unfortunate.

What did you have for engine management????
I'd build the engine you have with forged internals but make sure you have some good engine management before you boost it again!!

well only i only had 310cc injectors and a fuel pump i took off the msd before cuz the coil kept blowing and i never got a chance to tune the car so i believe thats y i blew tha motor but i can get a b18c rite now for only 1600 w/ install from a 99 gsr DB8... so lemme know whaat u think bout that
Thats a very good price. If its a jdm b18c it has i think 10.6:1 compression which is a little high for turbo... for sure would need a tune. Why not buy a h22a

your gonna miss that turbo homie. n/a can only go so far. its nice but cost alot more money to make fast. but also making it less reliable. same with turbo. But you'll ge going alot faster with the turbo slapped on there. i'd stick with the turbo. its like an addiction.
keep the ls and rebuild . you can really pull out with good numbers if you can rebuild motor and up the boost you could run 300plus whp!!! currently im at 245whp@5psi im planning on internals soon so i can up my boost to about12-13 psi.. and ya plus dont u love it when ppl turn heads when you sPOOOOL everywhere you go.
I went all motor... i love the instant throttle response but for what i spent to get my power, i coulda made almost twice as much power with turbo...
I say rebuild the LS with forged internals, make a healthy strong motor and boost the hell out of it...
i know a guy driving a boosted LS/Vtec with around 500whp daily driven.
do it right and have no regrets.

well i guess for now i'm jus gonna do some all motor work an build the motor a lil an tune it cuz i didn't get to when i was on boost an thats what caused this problem so later on a few months down the road i slap that boost bak on cuz i loved the attention it brought up and the power tooo. but i guess a jdm b18c will run good on boost so lets hope soo thanks for the advice.
