K&N fitment ?
well the only place around here that I could think of that may have it is advancedauto. Where could I find it on here - http://www.partsamerica.com/Ca...=2026
hey are you 100% certain that AEM intakes are supplied with K&N filters? I just bought a SRI from AEM and was going to replace it?
-Can someone advise a newbie what specs to look out for in terms for buying a K&N filter for a AEM SRI. I would like to replace the one that it was supplied with because I prefer a smaller one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

I'm positive they come with K&N filters.
You can buy the "recharging" kit from Autozone. It's made by K&N and is used to clean and re-oil the filters. Follow the instructions that come with it for cleaning procedures. It's fairly simple though... As long as you clean and re-oil it properly, they can last longer than your car will. Some people replace them every 50k miles or so anyway. Mine currently has around 120k miles on it...

Its good to clean the air filter about every other oil change...well at least inspect it. If it looks dirty then clean it with the k&n recharge kit, if its not then leave it be.

I installed a AEM intake on a buddy's S2000 a couple months ago and the filter had the K&N logo on it, but he's had the intake laying around for more than a year before installation. So what you are saying is probably true...

As .ken mentioned, clean it whenever it looks fairly dirty. How much dirt it builds up will depend on conditions in your area. As for my car, the filter usually needs cleaning about every 20k miles.
