i've got Rota C8's on my 99SI............the LIP is bent on the driver's front, is that failure?

-also one tire is at/right at hte wear bars on just the outside due to be'n underinflated and the center is fine, failure?

read the post before replying like a retard...........the LIP is whats damged, NOT the rim........the rim itself is perfectly round, just the very outside part of the lip has a flat spot

If 2/32nds of tread is the limit, then yes, they can fail you. Doesn't matter if there is more tread on the rest of the tire.

i thought the lip holds part of the bead?? so if it's overly damaged, wouldn't the bead not seat properly??

They shouldn't fail you for the tire wear, my car passed and mine had crazy wear, but the center was 2/32 in 2 spots. They measure in 2 spots for the 2/32. Im also pretty positive if your rim, if it is balanced correctly, should pass. Was It from a curb??

 

from a pothole.....you'd have to own a C8 or be really familar with them to know what part i'm talk'n about.............the tire is seated just fine, its like the little piece that flares out. I'd get a pic but can't at the moment...............i figured inspectors call, we'll see how it goes...........should be fine, again its not bad.............thanks!

i'll find out ahead of time if he'll fail me, if so i'll just wait till i'm home for the weekend where i know i can pass................n. va has some picky bastards over little stuff besides the rim.............thanks for the help
