the only mod i have in my car is a Injen CAI and i know my cat needs to be change but my problem is when i cross over to in VTEC i can still feel the cross over but vtec is really slow but now is 10x louder then ever, do you think this could be caused by the cat or do i just need to clean out my K&N air filter or buy a new one???

 

what viscosity oil are you using?

and yes check you air filter.

Btw when was the last time you checked the valve clearance?

I remember yesterday my vtec would cut out in the middle... first i thought:

a)sparkplugs
b)vtec solenoid
c)frustrated and clueless..

then i checked my oil.. nothing registered on the dip.. bought 2lts of catrol synthetic and she was purring in vtec like she always did = ) ... damn oil burning ****.

 

oil is good just had it charged not to long ago, value clearence i'm pretty sure they did that at the honda dealership when they rebulit my head, its been a busy weekend for me cuz its the canadas day long weekend for us canadians soo the air filter will be chcked after work tomorrow.
