exhaust hits shifter
i just got my new exhaust put on and its 2.5 inch piping. it hits the bottom of the shifter and i was wondering if there is any common way of fixing this? any ideas would be appreciated. i was thinking of trying to push the exhaust down a tiny bit...but how could i do that?
Just pull down on your exhaust. Or take that area of your exhaust out, and hammer a small dent into it where the shifter hits. I can't think of anything else. Sorry.
i have a better idea: put 2.25 inch piping on your integra. i dont see any need for 2.5 inch exhausts for integras, unless its built to the max(over 200whp). and if you have a turbo setup, 3". i have a similar problem; my BM shifter hits my heat shield; one of these days when i feel like it, ill take the damn thing off. it does no good anyways, i can still feel the heat convecting thru the top of the shift boot.
ok well its already on there....so im not getting another one obviously. it got put on yesterday. does anyone else have an idea for this please.
is it the piping thats hittin the shifter or is it the hinges??? cause some exhaust they weld the hinges too high and it rubs against the shifter...if so just chop off the excess
