3 inch exhaust + short shifter?

3 inch exhaust + short shifter?
normally id post this in the general integra forum, but i need some input.
im getting tired and aggravated at the sloppines of my stock shifter. i put energy suspension bushings in, it helped a little.
obvoiusly most short shifters were designed around a 60 mm ~ 2.5 inch exhaust, is anyone running one that doesnt interfere with their exhaust? if specifics are neccessary, its an integra with a thermal turbo exhaust.
if there was interference but it was resolved, please explain.
TIA

I was wondering the same thing. I'm about to upgrade my exhaust system to a 3" and currently have a short shifter & 2.25" piping, as of right now if I was to push down on the top of my shift ****, it'll bump up on the piping and rattle. (EM1)

when they use larger piping they should also make it hang lower...simple as welding the hangers more twards the top of the pipe ....i know when i went to 2.5inch i had the same clearance between the shifter and pipe as i did with stock...the guy who did it made sure clearance was kept the same...

the problem with the sloppiness is the heat from the exhaust... rubber/urethane gets hot and it gets gummy... just heat wrap the section of piping under the shifter or make a heat shield for it

Mine hits like a byatch... Had to somehow hang the exhaust lower. But now the exhaust hits every little bump!

at first when i got my 3" exhaust put on it never used to interfere with the short shifter, it was ok for months until i slammed my car and when the exhaust kept on hitting the speed bumps eventually it started making the shiter rattle and vibrate more, i really cant be bothered with it right now, but when i decide to take my anger out im going to deal with it good and proper

IF the piping has the correct bends around the shifter area, the exhaust should not hit it. I have short shifter and 3 inch exhaust and my car is lowered.
My exhaust only hits the ground if I go over a speed bump too fast. Its not cause I lowered the exhaust, it hugs the top of the channel in the car, its just cause the piping is large, it makes the exhaust the lowest point under the car.

I run a gsr shifter modded to fit my sohc shift linkage with es shift bushings and it feels better than any other shifter setup i've had imo. I went from the oem civic shifter, to a cheesy short shifter + es bushings, back to oem shifter with es bushings, and now this and i really like it better than any short shifter i've felt before.
