i just took my emission test and faild the idle part everything else i passed so the guy working there said maybe its my o2 sensor so what should i do ?

i have a 95 si with a jdm b16 sir2 running it with a p30

idle limit hc(ppm) 220
idle emmision 328

idle limit c0% 1.2
idle emission 4.63

 

try changing the o2 sensor?

 

yea im gonna try replacing my o2

Also, may not be applicable, but if I drive my 95 Coupe EX directly from the garage to the test, it just barely passes. If I go run a quick freeway circuit first, it scores very clean. Make sure the cat is fully heated up before testing emissions.

 

yea ill i did was drive around the block since i worked two blocks away i didnt think that was enough

should i replace cap rotar spark plugs pcv and o2 or just get a waiver

 

I would think if you have a prob with the O2 sensor, you'd have a warning light. That's how I knew mine was shot. Got a dash light, extracted the code, replaced the sensor.

if your o2 sensor is bad doesnt always mean you'll have a warning light. the o2 could be bad and have no cel.

Looks like you're running quite rich.

How many miles on the O2 sensor? If its got over 60-70k, you can't expect too much out of it.
