Default Test pipe and CEL question.

Nice to be back by the way. Oh and just letting you guys in on something. Remember that post someone put up about me comparing an ITR owner to a Holiday Inn costumer? Looks like some of you guys need to learn how to read. That quote was made by Active A-L-E-R-O not AERO. Posting something because you don't like someone is one thing, but posting something that I didn't say is another. Anyway....

Thinking of getting a testpipe installed. I know it will cause a CEL if I don't surround it in cat material, but does this really matter besides the annoying light? What I mean is will I still be able to detect something if the car throws a different code? I know the car can store multiple codes I just want to know if I will be able see them without having to jump the ecu. Thanks.

I have a O2S (Simulator) that will bypass the O2 sensor. I'm selling my testpipe, so i have no need for that. If you want, i can sell it to you for $15.

As far as i'm concern, if you can stand the CEL, then you're fine. I had my testpipe installed for 2 months, the performance gain was increditable. You'll lose some low end power, but once you hit VTEC...you'll feel the power gain.

Might be interested. I first have to find out why mine is throwing the CEL again. They replaced the Cat to header gasket and that stopped it for a few days, but then it came on again. They mentioned that some of the wires might be frayed so that might be it. How much do you want for the test pipe itself?
