Traction Bars????
try doing a search, they are pretty common, they help eliminate wheel hop which is the main cause of broken axles. they bolt to where the front tow hooks are on the bottom of the radiator support side frames
they basically keep a little bit of tension or 'load' on the front lca's to eliminate wheel hop, exactily what chameleon said.
The main problem that i have seen with them is that they add some positive caster to your alignment and cause your tires to wear a bit quicker, but they do perform quite well.
