Default still having wheel hop after traction bars =(

i have an LS motor in my 95' civic coupe. my car didn't wheel hop at all after the swap, but it started doing it after 2 weeks after the swap. i have ES motor mount inserts, nrg engine damper, and l-con traction bars. i don't wheel hop as much, but i still wheel hop to the extent where it could possibly damage something. i was told that it could could be my axles? suggestions please!

the traction bars need to be tight aka having a load on them, otherwise they wont do jack ****

like just said, look into your ball joints and your bushings. They probably need replaced.

A new set of ES bushing for the entire suspension is only like $120, its just some time involved to put them all in. A few are a bitch to get out but can be donw.

Ball joints are pretty cheap too. But most likely its the bushings.

Hows your tires? Bald, or crappy tires will give you wheel hop.

preloading .. meaning clutch, do you just drop it or preload the clutch?

how are your motor mounts? solid? how are your axles? this can also cause wheel hop.

my tires are good. they are khumo 711s. still a good amount of tread left. my alignment is also good. had it done a few months ago. my motor mounts are still very good (engine does not move at all when i rev). and i tried preloading the clutch, but when i shift from 1st-2nd, it still wheelhops. i'm just hoping it's my axle, i'll try getting that replaced next week

make sure ALL your bolts are tight... sometimes something loose in your suspension could cause that

khumo suck imo ! but i think try dropping tires pressure might help a little - and the suspensions bushings as every one is saying will help

Your magic LS doesn't make as much HP or torque as my I/H/E/MSD GSR motor and I can both launch and shift at redline from 1 to 2 without it hopping the wheels. Oh, by the way: I don't have motor mount inserts, an "engine damper" or traction bars...and I do it on mismatched Winter tires .

Don't drop the clutch. Period. If you feather the clutch at the launch and on the 1-2 shift, you won't wheel hop. You'll get better E.T.s and you won't destroy your suspension and/or driveline components. It's not your suspension or damper setup: it's your driving. End of story
