**gauging interest** Prelude Engine w/ B series trannys????
Would you guys be interested in a setup like this? I know its been done before, but not on a mass-produced level.... so tell me guys, is it worth putting my kits up for sale? If it was mildly easier than changing a clutch, would you purchase it?

....but if your wanting to do an H series into an EG or EK, this will remove alot of the labor involved especially the cutting of your shifter area. (not that it takes alot of time or anything)
And yes gearing will help you guys out alot more than you think. As far as I know they dont offer custom gear sets for you guys yet either...

Bybrid Racing has been working on theirs for the civic/integra crowd for over a year now.
Trust me though, too much of a hassle and not enough to gain when trying to put a B tranny in a prelude. Too much modification, too may changes. Its not as easy as it is with civics and integras.

My 2 cents. This is/has been a good idea and can see improvements, especially on N/A H22 civics and integras. For me I already have a H22 in a hatch with axles, shift linkage, etc. It's rather pricy to go from a H22 tranny to a B16 tranny and R tranny for slightly quicker gear ratios. If I started a whole new chassis, I would think about it much more. People who are just getting ready to do an H swap into a civic or integra are probably the best potential customers.

Exactly

Yes but there kit requires welding and other modifications. Mine is a bolt it unit. We have a prefab mount all ready made for EG's, Ek is next.... Funny thing is I just found this guys item today... very cool to know that someone on the other side of the country is thinking the same thing I am... Props to him... but none the less we will be bringing out our version, which is a bolt on, and costs less...
Very cool. I'm sure this has been covered repeatedly but what is the difference in weight between the two transmissions? Its great to see some innovative thinking in solving the problems associated with swaps!
i remember reeading recently, i think it was allmotorcrx16's thread that the B16 tranny wit h22 produced a time of 12.68 with some bolt-ons. HOWEVER, he said that this setup is horrible for the street. Keep that in mind.
Other than just a mid plate adapter, we also have custom bell housings in the make... WE are casting these our selves, but they will be in testing a little while longer. Were still trying to complete our RWD v8 race car.... Its hard when your multitasking....
