Default b18c

I was thinking abouy buying a jdm integra type-r motor. I saw one for sale, on the block it has b18c ingraved, is this a type-r?

could also possibly be a jdm gs-r motor as well

it has the lsd tranny and large intake and exhaust mainifolds

Its had to be removed at least once unless the motor has never had a valve adjustment.

my guess is that it is a jdm itr motor

how can i tell wether its gs-r or it-r? does gs-r have lsd?

JDM b18c-gsr(SiR-G) = b18c on the block with p72 stamped on the head
JDM b18c-r = b18c on the block with p73 stamped on the head.
There are also other visual differences such as intake, intake manifold, etc..

Check intake manifolds. The GSR intake manifold almost looks like it's upside down where as the ITR manifold is the same as B16's LS' etc.
