Default balance shaft belt removal

would it be ok to just remove the balance shaft belt and run the car safely?
wouldnt this take the load off of the crank as well. but not change anything with the oil pressure?

yes, you don't save the 8 lbs that you would if you got a block off kit, but it does free up the parasitic drag on the crank, while keeping the bottom end oil-leak free. As far as it being safe, well its as safe as any H not running the balance shafts. I'm not saying it isn't safe, but I know there have been many debates on this, and I'm not starting another one .

The shafts themselves are pretty heavy. Same with the F's. I just ditched my belt on my current motor but I will be using his kit on my next build

oh ok. i see now. can you just pull them out and plug the holes in the side of the block that you have circled, and not do anything inside the motor?

Nope, I wish. There is a couple oil passages that need to be plugged along with the two external shaft plugs. That's why the kit is so nice, it has all the plugs and directions.

I hear ya. I was a B series guy until about one year ago when I bought my first H block and I didn't know what the hell those things were when I first got the block....

Make sure you upgrade to a manual T-Belt tensioner too.
