Best way to get to wiring from back speakers?
I went to install one of those Converters that convert the speaker wire to a RCA, and I couldn't figure the best and easiest spot to tap in. Has anyone done this?
Thanks

best way IMO is to just tap off the speaker wire anywhere. You can pull the stock speaker and solder a tap off the speaker lead, however I would just tap off of anything. One thing to note is tap off in a location where the convertor will get little to no interference from other stuff.

from a scrap yard and put 2 6" Infinity speaker on it... Et voila...But I like to talk to the "engineer" who designed the rear speaker location... What a moron
Here is what I usally do. Just take out the head unit, insall it there. And the the rca's to the back. That way when you upgrade to a better cd-player that has rca's, you already have the rca's ran. And it won't interefere with it there. It works great on a durnago, cavilier, civics, and so on. but y aren't you buying a cd-player right away? Line-out converters are a waste, its such a rob of power. THere is no such thing as a good converter. Just get a good cd-player!!! I put the converter on the durango becasue the customer didn't want to lose their steering wheel controls. But is robs so much sounds. trust me. a good pioneer cd-player makes a HUGE difference.
I Like MHonda92's Idea! Do the work once, and run the rca converter off the headunit!, this way when you upgrade your deck, the wirings already done for you, and you just unhook the rca converter and plug it into your deck!
Then again, for simplicity, just splice it from wherever you can if you don't have the time

Just use the factory wiring. You are going to have to run rcas so run speaker wire with it and hook it up behind the head unit. if you are not going to sound offs that is all you need. Especially helpful for front door speakers.
