best tranny for high boost 400hp+ ???????

Default best tranny for high boost 400hp+ ???????

just tring to get a perspective on what tranny to run


i have my b16 tranny in rite now but the gears are really short and i just feel like i'm losing out on the whole shot any suggestions?


i did want to build this one with a type R lsd and final drive what ye think


boosted lsvtec running 14psi as os now

shorter gears are actually better.. you just need more traction.. i've seen 1.7 '60 foot times with an open diff..

try bigger slicks

put the flame suit on...people are going to tell you to do a search. This is asked all the time. As for the LSD, it was engineered for 190hp. People have used it in higher power situations, but I wouldn't consider that "safe". I'd get a quaife if I was you (which I am basically because I was just in that boat about a week ago.)

shorter gears are better, but if your just loosing traction even with slicks then you may want to get gear dependent boost controllers or other things to help with traction. I've seen some race cars on here built with LS gears because it is longer otherwise they would just spin out even in third and fourth

An ITR final drive is exactly the same ratio as your B16 trans. Maybe you should do some more searching before you jump into anything.

i think camp 1320 has them for 890 shipped? i got mine at cost though. he hee i cant tell you what i paid for it. drop us a line and we will see what we can do.
