Default Problem: 95 Civic EX/Stock Low idle after warmed up. Please look inside.

Hi, As my name states I've got a 95 Civic EX.
I had two problems. Stuttering/bogging when I would change gears. Every so often not all the time. Today after work I put in new Ngk's and plug wires. The sputtering/bogging is gone. I am happy.

I still have the problem that after the car warms up, when I stop at a light or Whatever, the idle drops between 0 - 1000 rpm. Like halfway. I'm pretty freaken sure, but I've never seen it do this. I know for a fact it does it when my AC is on. But I DONT use ac. My sister did it a few times a couple days ago. I just plain dont use ac. So the low idle is not from that. It wasnt on.

I was told to clean the TB and IACV. I have yet to do that. I'm asking if there is anything else that could cause it.
No codes are being brought up.
I just got a new rotor and cap for it also. Goes on tonight.

It just crossed the 200k mile mark.
I think shes just messing with me for taking so long on the turbo
Any help?
Thanks.

Try messing with the idle adjstment screw on the intake manifold.

Hi

I was told about that too. But would it just flucuate like that? I dont want to mask a problem by just turning up the idle. Ya know? Is it possible that it could be the only problem?

Finally - someone who realizes the f'in idle screw doesn't usually fix idle problems.

So what does the maintenance history look like? With 200k, things are pretty old and worn, like the coil and ignitor inside the distributor. What about your O2 sensor - they only last about 60-75k miles on a stock motor. I say 'stock motor' because if people do something to their motor that makes it burn richer or perhaps is now burning oil and/or coolant, these serve to decrease the life of the O2 sensor.

Ran a compression test/leakdown test? Done a valve adjustment? I see you've replaced the cap, rotor, plugs and wires - so good to go there. What about the fuel filter? Have you checked your ignition timing with a light? Cleaned up your grounding spots?

Yeah. I totally understand about just turning up the idle.

The fuel filter is only a few months old. I'll check the 02 sensor. I've not done anything to the engine yet. I'll also get the compression test done. Its been a very , very good engine through its miles. Never one problem. So, that is pretty good.

And, no all power is good. I did leave the parking lights on for about 7 hours the other day. But I don't think that would have done it.
