Default difference in oil pumps?

I just got my gsr block back from the machine shop and they didn't give me a new
oil pump because they said in their book, the 94-95 gsr oil pump is different than the 96-00. The reason I need to find out is becasue in their book, the 94-95 oil pump is OVER 350 DOLLARS. The 96-00 is just around 100 dollars. They owe me the pump, but tell me I need to find out what year block I have so they can be sure to put the right one on. Thanks for any help.

but if youre running obd1 than it doesnt matter cause the ecu doesnt read that sensor. My harness is obd2 but i just eliminated that plug from the harness and i just but a 91 ls pump. thats all.

That was about the only thing I could think of in difference was too, the obd.
Would it be possible to use the obd 2 pump on a obd1 block.

Answered that before I could even ask. Thanks.

Well the thing was that if it was the 350 dollar pump, they weren't going to give
it to me because of the huge price difference. So that helps that I can get this pump practically for free. I am already into this project enough as it is.
