if the clearances are stock for the bottom end bearings, use the weight that is on the oil cap. 5w-30...

IMO synth is good for long-interval oil changes and better stability if you really are hard on the engine, but dino oil works fine for most apps, you just should not expect to go 10k between changes on dino.

agreed becasue if you break in right youll be changing oil 2-3 times only on the last oil chage after its broken in use synthetic, i would recomend mobil 1 10/30 syn. dont use castrol or any synthetic blend get full syn.

i used some regualar penzoil 10W30 with my currect setup, i will be switching to 5w30 mobile1 synthetic at 2000 and have given the motor and oil change every 400-600 miles

my setup =

b18b1 in a 1993 civic sedan

stock head

je pistons and rings (9:1 forged)
eagle rods (h-beams) w/ arp rod bolts
arp headstuds
acl duraglide bearings (rod and main)
rebalanced everything (crank, pisonts, rods, flywheel)
cylinders were rehoned

thats it for the motorwork so far the motor is just awaiting a little snail

don't use synthetic when breaking in an engine. break it in with conventional, then switch to a full synthetic after a few thousand miles.
