Default V-AFC offset

I know of the RPM offset where the RPM reads on the v-afc is less than the what the speedometer says, but is there an offset with the Vtec controller. When I set the Vtec engagement for 5700 it kicks in around 6000 and if I set it to 5500 it kicks in about 5700, does everyone else get this offset?

The stock tach is off a few RPMS.

Yup, everyone has it. You don't even need a V-AFC to notice it. I don't have a V-AFC and I'm pretty much stock but VTEC kicks in at an indicated 6000rpms on the stock tachometer.
