The engine is completly built together and my tuner measured the compression ratio at exact 9.1:1 (the head got milled a bit).
He said the Eagle rods and JE pistons look nice quality and I have bought me nice parts.
The Fidanza flywheel was a bit of a problem, but he has worked it out. Now it fits too.
The wastegate-gases are going into the exhaust. I wanted to hear it without going it into the exhaust pipe, but I did not told him and I could not imagin that he is so far with the building. He said it is way too loud otherwise.
Some work to the block (with a dremel) was necessary, cause the T03e housing is a bit too large.
With the cr of 9.1:1 he thinks we can up the boost to 1.2 Bar easy and 1.5 Bar with some drawbacks in timing and a/f ratio.
So, engine and tranny are puted together.
Ohoh, canīt wait to hang out on the streets!

Sorry, I haveīnt seen it myself, cause the car is in Vienna about 200 km away from me. I want to go to Vienna on Saturday and shoot some pics.
Screw the PICS of the car I wanna see PICS of Vienna!
J/K well, not really but, I'd like to see PICS of both...
Good luck, sounds like you're gonna have a monster on your hands soon enough.

He has lots of B16A engine experience with head porting and polishing. He builts a few n/a cars into turbo. He has built a Nissan 200sx up to 350bhp. He has tuned lots of Ford Cosis up to 450bhp. He is a guru in the Austrian rally scene and makes a punch of engines for Peugeot team and Suzuki team. Had made a Gruppe-N Mitsu Evo IV a few years ago. He had built a Opel turbo engine (the oine from the Calibra) into a Lotus Elise and upped the power to 260bhp.........and lots of more stories but canīt remember everyone.

BTW you have a nice bunch of PICS already austrian type-R. And did I talk to you about your visit to Vegas last year? I know I spoke to someone about a trip from Europe to Vegas for SEMA. How was the show? looks like you had fun a met a bunch of HT members. If you ever came to New York I'd meet up with ya. We do have the International Auto Show here this month.

My tuner told me that on 2 holes on the flywheel the thread was missing, so he had to bore the thread in.
Some minor fitting problems on the main bolt, but he could match up this problem too. Too bad I donīt have seen it myself.
The SEMA show and the whole trip to Vegas + meeting HT-members was the best thing happand to me in 2001. Perhaps I go this year agian. Thanks for the props of my pics!

o man, you are getting me worry.
So it is the Fidanza FW you got have problem(s) or every Fidanza FW go into ITR need to bore the thread and have minor fitting problem?
I am so concern of this because I am going to drop this FW and the JDM FD in myself. So I would like to know what I need to modify before I tear my car apart. It is not so nice to realize you need to send the FW to bore some thread after you tear everything apart.
thanks for any info!
