Default building a FI d16a6 block???

i have this d16a6 longblock and was going to rebuild and thought i might as well build this thing up for FI while its out of my car an easily accessible..

the thing is although i have the engine right now, who knows when i'll actually go FI it may be many many months down the line and meanwhile this engine would be going into my daily driver...

my question is, if i want to be running 15psi safely is it absolutely necessary to get lower compression pistons??? would this affect my engine if i'm driving it often like this but not under boost??
