Default Engine Build Shopping List and a Few Questions... d16 rebuild...

I am going to get started on my d16z6 rebuild soon and made a list of things I think I might need today.

I am going to pick up a bare block and assemble most of the engine, then swap over some parts from the engine currently in my car.

Here's my list of parts and a few questions. Let me know if I am leaving anything out! Also, if there are any parts on my list that don't need to be purchased new let me know! Here's what I think I will need:

- New Oil Pump (new? or use the one on my car? 110k miles)
- New Water Pump
- Vitara Pistons (I have a set but I will most likely sell them and get SRPs instead)
- Scat Rods
- New Rod bearings
- New Main bearings
- New thrust washers
- New timing belt
- Head gasket
- Crank seal
- Rear main seal
- Timing belt tensioner
- New cap and rotor

Things I want to reuse that I already have:

- Oil pan gasket (just put a new one on there)
- ARP headstuds (installed them a few months ago)
- ACT XTSS clutch

I think that's about it. I am going to order these parts some time this week and get started soon.

If you can think of anything that I absolutely need to have that I left out let me know!

P.S. My goal is to run 1bar daily on this engine. Looking for 250 - 300 hp.

since u are taking everything apart... u might as well just buy a head set geasket kit... it comes with all the gaskers u need for the top end and a head hasket... along with valve seals.... one of these seta will cose arousn 125-140

since you already spending that much, i would just buy a new oil pump and have it all assembled now instead of labor, plus its convenient also

new oil pan gasket, unless you want leaks in a month or so. do it right the first time ... also make sure you dont overtorque the oil pan 10mm nuts because these oil pans have a tendency to warp very fast and you will need a new one.
