Default A/C problem..

I currently drive a 96 civic EX and the A/C has been giving me problems. The thing is the A/C does work, but only on levels 3 and 4. I'm thinking that maybe it has something to do with the actual climate control switch. I went to my friends shop and he put new freon in it and said there were no leaks or anything in the lines. blows cold as **** now but I can't put it on level 1 or 2 . Anyone know what it could be?

Only thing I can think of to solve the problem is to remove it, it's just taking away from your motor.

If the blower isn't working on levels 1 and 2 check the blower resister.

I think you may be able to check it with a voltmeter from the switch itself. I don't quite remember how thought. I will go check and see if I have a honda service manual for your climate control. I know I have the driveability manual so I'm hoping I have the manual with climate control.

that would make it the blower resistor not working. it's located on the blower motor behind your glove box.

It would be better to check it, make sure it's bad.
