Default spongy stage 4 clutch.......WTF!?!?!?

ok.... Im not trying to be a post ***** I promise,...I just really need some info for tonights Honda adventure.
As you might have read, I just put in my new clutch,...Its a Competition Clutch stage 4 Street/strip. The first time I drove it (this morning @ 6:30 am by the way,.....NO SLEEP!!!) I immediately noticed how soft the cliutch is. Im pretty sure that a stage 4 clutch should be a lot stiffer than stock but this one feels spongier than stock.
Do you think I need to bleed my clutch lines or something?? Any and all advice &/or opinions will be appreciated.

go under the dash and look up at the top of the clutch pedal if it is oily and dirty then you need to replace the clutch master

alright, my clutch DOES NEED TO BE REPLACED. Can that cause THAT much spongyness?? I mean, I can literally push my clutch in using 2 fingers. Also would this make gear grinding an issue??

the spongyness is probable from a bad clutch master. if it is grinding it can either be a broken spring on the clutch diafram that is lodge somewhere or your syncros are bad

if you replaced the clutch without bleeding the clutch master cylinder, you're gonna be lucky if you can use the clutch at all. I didn't bleed mine and relized right away because I pushed the clutch in and it didn't come back out! ohs knowsssss!!!

And why do people insist on labeling clutches as stage 1-4?? or whatever.....I can take a **** and label it a stage 3 couldn't I? clutches are rated on how much torque they can hold..... but I guess OMFGZORZ M4D tyte St4g3 20bizzillion just sounds better eh?

ok, as I stated previously, the clutch master cylinder IS BAD. I am going to replace it as soon as my car gets back from being painted.

The reason why I "labeled" it a stage 4 is bc it is the stage 4 kit that comes with a stiffer pressure plate. They say that this clutsch is supposed to handle 400whp so it seems to me as if it would be a bit stiffer. Also , I know a guy who has the same clutch and his is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay waaaaaaaaaaaaay stiffer than mine.

My question still stands. Willa bad master cylinder cause the clutch to feel like i'm pushing my foot down on a pillow?
