Clutch Master Clutches
Hey guys, my old clutch just gave out on me and i was wondering what i should choose for my new clutch. I found a 3 stage clutch set from Clutch Masters for $325
and a
Stage 3 from ACT clutches for $330.
They do match my engine but i'm just wondering which i shouold get, has anyone ever used Clutch Master? I just want to get the best clutch for my $$$. I heard from my cousin that these were pretty good and also from a friend that ACT was good too. i've narrowed this all down from 5 to 2 clutches, which to get?

i recommend the cm clutch. its one of the best clutches i have ever used. one of the good things about this clutch is that it has almost like a stock feel on the clutch pedal compared to an act. you have put a lot more effort to push down on the pedal with an act.

It's not just ''stiffer'' because of it being an ACT clutch.
It depend's on what pressure plate and disk you get.
Some are stiffer than others

Re: Clutch Master Clutches (^Jae)
act uses a different pivot point in their pressure plates. cm uses a different point as well. the reason cm clutches arent as stiff as the act, is cm's use mechanical advantage via a different pivot point. this has less wear and tear on your thrust bearings because of less pedal pressure. both are good, but i only recomend cm clutches because of the wear and tear on the thrust bearings.

maybe his point was that its not neccessarily the brand,
but the choice of clutch out of that(or any) brands lineup

Re: Clutch Master Clutches (TrickHonda77)
Hate to be the one who says it but, do a search.... I justed did a "recent" search (compared to an archived) and came out iwth almost 200 posts, I was searching to find a link to someone else's thread about a CM that snapped.... anyways there were a lot of threads, and thought they would be more usefull than just that one...

FLIP a quater, if its heads then its the CM Clutch, if its tails then its the ACT Clutch. I used the ACT clutch it is stiffer but it grabs on pretty damn gooood.

I might only add this: my buddy had a high-pressure plate and street/strip disc from ACT and with NT555 he busted a couple of axles Just my warning, never had any experience w/ the CM's
