Default V-tec or Turbo

well i have a 1995 4 door acura integra LS ryte now and i want to make it faster but wah should i do to it. Put a v-tec head and make it a LS v-tec or put a turbo in it and make it a LS turbo. I mean i would add both but then the LS block is pretty weak n i dont want to put to much power in that thing or it might blow up so give me suggestion and i'll see wassupz. I also know know v-tec is cheaper but it give less hp as turbo but turbo would cost more......so???

I would go with a turbo setup. You will not be disappointed in the ls turbo. the m ost u can run on a stock ls block is abnout 8 to 10 lbs of boost without having any problems.

it depends on the setup/turbo and the condition of the motor. 250~300whp isn't hard to achieve on a stock motor ls.

an ls block would handle close to as much power as a v-tech block mYte, honestly if you want power go turbo. If you do, you have much studying ahead of you my friend

turbo is wayy better, plus for the money u pay for a all motor set-up u would crush that with the same amount of money in a turbo set up

^ Sherman has a crazy LS setup. You want to make power from an LS? Ask Sherman. You hit 400whp yet Sherm?

...is Sh!ttyLS gonna have to choke a bitch?

j/k . But yeah LS blocks aren't that weak, I think 8-10 pounds on a stock bottom end is decent for a car that was never meant to have a turbo on it in the first place.

not yet, i haven't gotten her dyno tunned yet and my WB O2 is dead. so all i'm doing now is breaking her in slowly. cam tunning on boost with the 404's is crazy and hard without a dyno.

Just got LS turbo. Drag makes a great kit so does rev hard and they come with pretty much everythitng you need. Other then that you just need a proper exhaust and there you go. With proper traction 13s are no problem. I think you should first think about some goals though before you even decide what setup you wanna go with. How much money you want to spend? Do you want something reliable and pretty maintenance free? All questions you should ask yourself before deciding which route to go.

yeah not a problem. that's what this site is for one thing before you start building your project car...don't just buy any'ol part thinking you'll make power from it. read up about the part, about people who have the part, and what the pros and cons of the part are. that way, you'll know what you're getting yourself into before you throw away money. oh...and learn more about velocity stacking and 'flow' before you start. this way you'll know what it takes to make power from an LS motor.
