engine mount/bracket problem *help*
Im putting my motor in this week and today I ran into a snag with the mounts and brackets. I have a y7 bottom end that Im going to try to get mounted in my 1995 DX hatch. I didnt have the driver side bracket so I ordered one from honda thinking the d-series were the same. I get home and try to test fit it to my drivers side mount and the bolts on the bracket i bought are obviously too wide.
here is the pic;

now Im unsure of what to do now. I dont feel like giving honda another 35 bucks for another mount and then waiting till next week for it. I also know that ek mounts have a different piece that bolts onto this bracket then to their vertical bushing type mount. (you know what Im talking about). the bracket I need is lateral like the one shown but the spacing needs to be wider. I found a smiliar one on BauleyCivic write up in the 7th pic down here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=554053 . can anyone tell me what I can do or if the one Bauley has would be the correct one for me to use. (hell, if you have the damn thing too let me know).

Ahah I might as well.
I had it running again, but it was all fucked up; extremely erratic, bouncing idle. Then it started burning lots of coolant. So I popped the oil cap off while it was idling (or trying to) and pressurized coolant shot out. I shut it down, pulled the valve cover and saw that all the nuts that go on top of the rocker arms (that you adjust to set the valves) were missing on the intake side and loose on the exhaust side. The guy who rebuilt my head said it was "ready to go, just bolt it on and fire the car." Apparently that wasn't the case though.
I don't know how it really ran, but nothing is fucked up and I'm in the process of putting it back together again in the little free time that I have where I'm not driving to/from Buffalo for work. But hopefully soon it will run again, then its time for tuning.

what year is the motor from? if it's from a 96-00 then the driver side mount will be different........u might have to get the mount that goes on motor.......

its a y7 bottom end Im trying to get into a '95 hatch. the 1998 ex mount wont work but I think the 1998 dx one will work. it seems visually wider on bauley's write up and 1 cam says he has the same one.
now its time to track one down
