Low compression, but NO signs of OIL anywhere...
This is with the TURBO OFF! With or without the turbo on, the car still feels weak and is hard to start up sometimes or sometimes it almost stalls out when i slow down at a red light. And when I take off slowly, I have to rev it up real high, or else when the clutch engages while at 1500-2000 RPM, the car almost stalls.
I checked timing, its good. Checked to see if the cams might of skipped. Its good.
While the motor was idling, i pull out each spark plug one by one, cylinder #2 did not stutter when I pulled out the plug. But the others did. Cylinder #2 must be weak?
Checked the compresion:
#1 - 130 PSI
#2 - 70 PSI
#3 - 130 PSI
#4 - 70 PSI
But ... there is no burning oil puffing from the car. And no oil on spark plugs.
Do you know why the compression would be so low but no oil burning? Could it be like my valves are messed up? at Idle, the Vacuum gauge reads -20 in/mg so I dont think that could mean bent valves?
I pulled off the valve cover, and checked the clearances and they are within factory spec.
This is pissing me off. I doubt its worn piston rings cause I dont see any signs of oil anywhere on the plugs, or from the exhaust.
I want to solve this problem before I put my new turbo on again.

yeah like sir kid said sounds like valves, bent or chiped, broken. have you had the head off? that will tell you for sure. hth
my car did not smoke or nothing when i broke a ring landing or burn oil it ran good but weak and every time i come to a stop it stalls
Did your exhaust sound "funny" or out of the ordinare. Because I can tell a BIG diff from the exhaust sound now and from before when my motor was running fine.
I have a funny feeling its the valves. Because my car doesn't burn oil at all.

any one ever try the dollar bill trick? a sure fire way to see if you sunk a valve. You put a dollar bill up against your tail pipe while the car is runnin and if it sucks the bill onto the tail pipe for a sec , you got a bad valve. My grandpa tought me that one.................sorta off track sorry
