The spary paint wont get inside of the intake. But I dont know if it will hurt cooling. Try a couple layers of chickin wire

I was gonna take mine of scuff it with a scotch pad, tape up the inlet and outlet and spray it satin black.

I painted just the front of it while on the car with grill paint, Its high temp and dry's in 15 min. I figured if it dries in 15 min it couldnt be too thick and hurt cooling.

Paint it.

If you're worried about that, you don't really have a good grasp on how an intercooler works. Think radiator but for air.

Unless you literally dip it in a vat of paint, it can't do much. When you think of it, you won't get the spray more than 1" into the fins, and no more than half of that will be a full coat. Worst case scenerio, thats 5% less cooling capacity, and nearly all FMIC's have that much to spare.

Here you go
Radiator black paint from EastWood Company http://www.eastwoodco.com/shop...D=125
This is exactly what I used on my Spearco FMIC.

Came out PERFECT

This works but can rip easily with stones flying up from the road. I recommend a layer of two of screen mesh, same kind used for security doors.
